While others are struggling to find true love in the dating world full of red flags, this TikTok couple was brought together by fate not once, but twice, in the most unexpected way.
Cody and Haley’s love story
Haley is relatively new to TikTok, but her inspiring love story has gained her over 780,000 likes and thousands of followers in a matter of few months.
Her most viral video with over 10 million views details her relationship with her boyfriend Cody. They met in Hawaii while traveling separately and soon hit it off.
Haley says they spent quality time with each other after meeting at a bar and also learned that they are from the same town in California. Their romance carried on to California where they spent more time together.
Then Cody left for Spain, but the duo kept in touch. They Facetimed, texted, and did everything any typical couple would do. Haley thought she had started to like the guy.
She was supposed to pick Cody up from the airport after his travel, but he was a no-show. A couple of days passed, Haley never heard from him and the realization that she was ghosted finally struck her.
The most unexpected twist
Haley thought she and Cody were a thing, but the latter suddenly disappeared. But she was itching to know what happened to the man who was totally into her.
While stalking Cody’s sister’s social media, Haley realized that he had met with a terrible accident that left him in a coma. His family was collecting money for his treatment on GoFundMe.
Of course, Haley donated whatever she could and went about her life when she got a text from Cody a few months later – he was checking on her.
He said: “Hey, sorry. I missed your message.”, reigniting the conversation between him and Haley that ended abruptly after his accident. The two started talking again and became a full-fledged couple a year and a half later.
Only at the end of the video Haley reveals that Cody had lost his memory from the severe brain injury, so he didn’t remember any past interactions with his girlfriend.
“He had to relearn to get to know you and like you again, second time around,” Haley says as she concludes her video.
