Friends accidentally rack up large food bill after being confused by what a bottomless brunch entails

A duo of friends has gone viral online for their costly mistake after racking up a lunch bill when they mistook bottomless brunch to mean bottomless food. The pair only realized after they had eaten all the food.

The food deal offers bottomless brunch meaning bottomless alcoholic drinks. Unfortunately for these friends, they didnt realize food wasnt included in the offer until after they were served the bill.

Mistaking bottomless brunch for bottomless food

Bri posted the hilarious moment to TikTok on November 10, in which she captured both the scenes before and after they were handed the bill. When we thought bottomless brunch meant bottomless food, Bri wrote on-screen. The moment has been seen over 5 million times.

Videos of the pair showed them blissfully unaware at first, eating plates of food and seemingly making multiple orders from the menu. Together, they even cheersed the drinks before eating.

When the bill arrived however it all became clear. Bri began to laugh and cry at the same time, describing it as devastation.

Her friend attempted to find a solution, including asking them to take the plates away, despite them already eating the food, as pointed out by Bri. The friend continued to explain that the restaurant should have made it clearer for them both when they ordered the offer.

Bri agreed and detailed in a comment that the offer was poorly explained by staff. Learnt a lesson, she also captioned the post.

The blunder has gone viral online

Bris mistake split opinions online. While some felt the name bottomless brunch could be ambiguous as to whether the food was included, others reasoned that bottomless brunch is a very well-known concept that almost always only includes drinks.

Ive always known it as bottomless brunch and its always been drinks, how do you get that confused? asked one commenter.

Some places do have a bottomless brunch that includes food, but I feel like its not common, added another.

Another however argued that the restaurant should have explained.

Others offered their own similar anecdotes, in an attempt to ease Bris regret over the blunder. Try ordering an 8oz steam, then finding out it was $40 per oz, wrote one TikTok user.

Costly bill mistakes this year

Being startled by bills seems to be in trend this year, with various viral videos on the relatable subject.

In October, one womans date walked out on her without paying the bill, after she ordered and ate 48 oysters in one sitting.

The scenario swept the internet when the woman admitted online that she was left twiddling her thumbs after demolishing four whole plates of oysters alone.

I offered to take you out for drinks and you ordered all that food, he texted her after, adding that he would be willing to CashApp her for the drinks.
