Fragrance expert says one handy device outperforms your candles, incense, and room sprays
While you might be attached to your pumpkin spice-scented candle, a fragrance expert has revealed the pet-friendly alternative that makes your house smell incredible for a longer period of time.
If you’ve just finished your Donald Trump candle or you’re waiting for the arrival of your Saltburn bath candle, you might consider choosing a fragrance option that you don’t have to watch with eagle eyes. We all know how clumsy or outright naughty our pets are, and the last thing we want is their snouts in the flame.
Introducing your candle replacement – the Amber Boule
The scent of your home is incredibly personal, with some preferring incense over candles and others opting for no fragrance at all. But a good fragrance doesn’t just tantalize your senses, it can also improve your mood, reduce stress, and even lower your blood pressure.
But we also acknowledge that lighting candles is not something everyone can take part in. You might have particularly confident kids, or one very volatile pooch.
With that in mind, we put forward L’Artisan Parfumeur’s Amber Boule, which is a particular favorite of fragrance expert Demi Rawling (@demi.rawling).
In a recent TikTok, which has since racked up nearly 800k views, Demi showed off her living room collection featuring several lavish candles, two trays of incense, and sticks of Palo Santo. Despite her array of options, she said the Amber Boule was by far the best option.
“Nothing on this table makes my house smell as good as this ball right here,” she said, pointing to a dark ball resting in a marble dish. “This little thing right here is the single best-scented product I own.”
As per L’Artisan Parfumeur’s website, the boule is crafted from terracotta carven designs that continually release the smell of amber crystals contained inside. It also has notes of tonka beans and benzoin.
“An icon of the House since it was launched in 1976, the Amber Boule is back. Crafted from terracotta with intricately carved motifs, it continuously releases the scent of the amber crystals it contains, filling your living space with its soft notes of amber and vanilla,” the product description reads.
While your dog might be interested in playing with it, providing it’s out of snout’s reach, it should be considerably safer than a roaring flame. It’s currently priced at $282.
There are a few other options
In Demi’s comment section, lots of her followers were devasted to learn just how expensive the L’Artisan Parfumeur Amber Boule is. Naturally, they had some alternative suggestions.
“It’s 235 Euro where Im from I want to buy it but how long will it last? I need to girlmath this..” one person wrote.
“The Santa Maria Novelli terracotta pomegranate is the same – the scent lasts for years,” another said, with this brand also selling theirs for $73.
Of course, TikTok, the land of the DIY hack, had some other thoughts. Due to the device being made from essential oils and crystals, one person suggested that you could make your own.
