Former prisoner gives step by step jail makeup tutorial

A former inmate gave a step-by-step makeup tutorial on TikTok using readily available items in prison like Skittles and lead pencils.

On TikTok, the land of the get ready with me videos, millions of creators are constantly attempting to reinvision makeup tutorials into something users havent seen time and time again. Sometimes, this involves creating new aesthetics like clean girl, mob wife and sad girl.

How to do prison makeup

Yvonne (@ronyayvonne) took to TikTok last week after a follower requested a video on how she did her makeup while in jail. In most prisons, inmates are not allowed luxury items like makeup products, and so they have to get creative with their glam.

Because you know your girl was still trying to be glam behind bars, she laughed at the start of the video. Its been five years so I feel like we are out of the too soon zone.

To prep the skin, Yvonne would use a bottle of lotion she had purchased in the prison commissary, which is essentially a store within a correctional facility. She then carved out her eyebrows with a good old pencil, which worked surprisingly well considering they are meant for paper.

You get real creative when you have nothing and are still trying to look cute for that visitation. When your man is coming to say hello, she explained, adding that she would use a cloudy piece of glass as a mirror.

For foundation, Yvonne would take the same lotion as earlier and mix it with coffee. More coffee would be added to get her exact shade.

Add some colour

Now lets talk about the blush, because honey, she continued, whacking out a standard pack of coloured pencils. By licking the red crayon, she was able to create a soft hue on her cheeks.

But, if youre looking for a more intense colour, then Yvonne has got you covered. By sucking on a red skittle, and applying that sticky concoction to your cheeks, you create a more vibrating swatch of red.

For eyeshadow, simply take a different colour Skittle and copy the technique onto your eyelids. She recommended the purple shade, which is grape. For replicating mascara,, she suggested applying coffee to a toothbrush and combing through your eyelashes

Finally, for lipstick, Yvonne used a fireball because the spice is a lip plumper and it has that red colour youre looking for.

TikTok was impressed

Despite the limited products, Yvonnes fellow TikTok users were impressed with the final look she managed to pull off.

One person said: Your makeup in jail is better than mine on the outside.

The type of content I wanted from gypsy rose, a second person joked, to which the original poster replied, Hahaha she prolly has all the tricks.

GIRL WHY WERE YOU IN JAIL?! another person asked, which was echoed by other users.
