Elderly lady wanting to be a ‘grandma’ surprises neighbor’s kids in a touching video
Materialistic things can’t always buy happiness, and sometimes, all you crave is your loved ones’ company and to be in their presence. One such elderly lady, wanting to be a “grandma”, surprised a few kids in her neighborhood, and her sweetest gesture is melting hearts.
Recently, a study showed that loneliness is among some of the factors affecting the elderly as it is tantamount to several serious health issues, including heart conditions. The video we are going to show you today is enough to make one realize how much older people value meaningful relationships, which are overlooked or often taken for granted by youngsters.
Elderly lady surprises kids in her neighborhood
The viral video found on TikTok is captured on a surveillance camera, and it seems the woman whose kindness has touched thousands of people wasn’t even aware of the impact of her actions.
The unidentified lady – visibly aged – is seen standing near the porch of her neighbor’s house, holding little bags full of candies in her hands.
A young boy and presumably his sister come out running to see their elderly neighbor standing in front of their house. As the children wonder who she is, the lady introduces herself as their neighbor from two houses down.
The little boy quickly recognizes her, and she proceeds to hand over the candies to them. The kids grab them in excitement as the boy runs inside his house.
The lady then tells the girl that she just wants them to come and see her once in a while, before adding: “I would like to be a grandma.”
“I am a grandma. My kids are so big and I really enjoy when you guys stop by,” she shares.
The grandma asks the kids to visit her occasionally before starting to walk away. Then, the girl comes running out of her house with some candies she intends to give to the grandma’s kids.
“For your kids too,” she says, but the lady replies: “I don’t have little kids. That’s why I like you to stop by.”
Emotional users offer to be grandma’s children
The video is so touching that TikTok users are willing to be the grandma’s kids so she doesn’t miss her own anymore. The video is flooded with the sweetest of comments as nobody could help but sympathize with the old lady seeking company.
One wrote: “Where is this lady? Im 30 but Ill show up for grandma. Dont have anymore.”
“I wouldve visited her every day with my children. Some elderly are just so cute, she just wants to continue being a grandma to children,” another comment read.
