Dog and cat’s funny laundry basket encounter is like something from a cartoon
A pet dog and cat have gone viral on TikTok after having a really funny encounter with a laundry basket.
The skit is like something from a cartoon, Tom & Jerry or Scooby Doo style, and won’t fail to crack you up.

In the clip which has had more than 10 million views, an owner teaches his Labrador Ruby how to use the laundry basket. He shows the brown pooch how to pick up a black bra off the floor and place it inside the bin – and what happens next is hilarious!
The man sets up a camera which shows the furry friend barking at her sibling, a grey tabby cat called Pearl, to give up a toy which she has on top of her climbing tower. As requested, the kitty throws it down onto the floor for the dog to pick up.
Text on the screen commentates the interaction, with Ruby saying “Give me your toy” and Pearl replying: “Here”.

The pooch grabs the toy and takes it over to the laundry bin, keen to show off her new trick. Just like her owner taught him, she puts the toy inside the open bin and runs out of the room leaving the cat on its own.
The feline soon realizes what has happened and goes to retrieve her toy from the washing basket, saying: “I want it back!”
Pearl jumps up onto the chair, climbs right inside the bin and grabs the toy. Just as she is about to turn around and climb out, Ruby runs back into the room and uses her nose to tap the lid closed, trapping the cat inside the laundry basket!

The cartoon-like scene is making everyone laugh in the comments, with one person writing: “That was so calculated I’m crying.”
“I love how the dog came back for the finisher move,” said another.
A third person added: “What in the Tom and Jerry.”
“The way he ran off. He knew what he did!” someone else said.
Another claimed: “This was like a cartoon movie.”
Someone else joked that they are waiting for the second episode to come out now!
