We finally know whether Spotify Wrapped will include December – it’s not good news

With enough Mariah Carey in their playlist to shut down a Christmas market, Spotify users are questioning whether their yearly Wrapped features their November and December listens.

As December rolls around each year, millions of us are caught up in our Spotify Wrapped. The snazzy feature pulls back the curtain on our listening habits, from the artists we consume most to the genres we didn’t even realize we were interested in.

What is Spotify Wrapped?

Spotify Wrapped is the annual round-up of your listening habits throughout the year, based on data collected by the music streaming platform.

This includes: how many minutes you’ve listened to Spotify, your top five artists and songs, if you’re a top listener for any artists, and your top genres and decades.

You can see your Spotify Wrapped by logging into your Spotify account. You can also access it by searching wrapped on your Spotify mobile app and it will present to you your Top Songs of the year. The page also suggests new songs for you through the playlist Missed Hits, as well as podcasts of your favorite music artists, called On Record.

The page also examines the top tracks, podcasts, and artists in your country, as well as worldwide. You can take a closer look at the worldwide data here.

Spotify Wrapped does not include December, sorry

Unfortunately, Spotify Wrapped doesn’t include your November or December listens as the official cut-off is October 31.

This means that November and December are somewhat of a music wilderness. You could listen to some of your more embarrassing tracks and it shouldn’t upset your Wrapped algorithm. Maybe get that High School Musical playlist on? Or that classical music you’ve been hiding from your friends?
