TikTok DIY guy swears by the natural home remedy

If sprays, traps, and bug bombing aren’t stopping cockroaches from infesting your home, you need two ingredients from the kitchen to end their menace.

TikTok user Daddy Brownn, known as the DIY guy on the video-sharing platforms shows how to get rid of cockroaches in his most viewed video with over 10 million views.

He says the ingredients he suggests will “kill the cockroaches” if no other method works, and you don’t have to spend more money to create it as the ingredients are readily available.

The TikTok user is famous for showing DIY hacks that are almost always effective. He has over 250,000 followers on his channel and his videos depict a range of interesting home remedies backed by science and logic.

After revealing the solution to all your cockroach problems, the TikTok user explains the impact of the ingredient used to kill the insect.

Two basic ingredients will do the job

He suggests using 1:1 sugar and baking soda as the ultimate cockroach repellent. For instance, you mix one cup of sugar with one cup of baking soda and sprinkle it in and around the house where it’s most infested.

The hack guy explains that the sugar attracts the roaches, while the baking soda kills them. He further adds that the mixture is “kid and pet-friendly”. However, it’s wise to keep your children and pets away from the home remedy to avoid accidents that can cause health issues.

The cockroaches also bring some of the mixture back with them after eating, thus killing more of them in the nest. A study published in Health Research and Development backs the harmful effects of baking soda on the pest.
