Dietician’s ‘calorie-deficit’ Chick-fil-A order with high protein is ideal for weight loss
Most dieters desperate to lose weight quit eating junk food, which also means ditching their favorite burgers or wings from popular fast-food joints.
Despite the popular belief that food served at restaurants such as Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, or KFC is high in calories and presumably “unhealthy”, a weight loss dietician loves to eat from the same places by slightly tweaking his diet.

Weight loss dietician reveals his ‘go-to’ Chick-fil-A dish
You don’t have to stop eating from Chick-fil-A to lose weight, after all. Tweaking the ingredients in your favorite dish could meet your calorie needs.
Licensed dietician, Josh New, enjoys eating from fast food chains while achieving his weight goals. In one of his videos, he reveals everything included in his Chick-fil-A order.
He always goes for Chick-fil-A’s grilled chicken because it’s “consistently soft and perfectly cooked.” The portion he buys is about 130 calories with 25 grams of protein.
Josh’s customized dish includes more mouth-watering ingredients. He adds a bowl of mac and cheese to the grilled chicken and tops it with blue cheese crumble.
He layers it with a ranch dressing, followed by a packet of buffalo sauce. Josh claims the “Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese” he recreated with the Chick-fil-A menu is 570 calories with a total of 42 grams of protein.
Meanwhile, studies have shown that a calorie-deficit diet rich in protein and fiber naturally enables weight loss.
McDonald’s menu hack to cut down calories
In a different video, the weight loss dietician shows off his customized McDonald’s item – 520 calories with 40 grams of protein.
Josh doesn’t deny that fast food is unhealthy, but being selective about what you eat can still help you lose weight. He does emphasize that losing weight and staying in shape prevent several health issues.
As for his McDonald’s menu hack, it includes two McDoubles, with extra onions, lettuce, and no buns, which “saves 300 calories.” He uses Big Mac sauce instead of ketchup, which reduces another 50 calories.
Josh clarifies at the end of his video that he isn’t affiliated with any of the fast-food joints. He aims to show “ways to stay on track when you’re craving fast food or if it’s your only option.”
Josh New is an expert weight loss dietician and trainer, inspiring others with his own transformation. He has completed several certifications related to diet and fitness, including CSSD – a degree offered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for registered dieticians.
