When the interviewer asks, “Do you ever think about that with guilt or feelings of remorse?”, he responds: “I really want to get to the point in life now where I can yes to that, but I also don’t want to lie.”
He fails to process the emotion
The life coach uses the opportunity to feel guilt or remorse for what he did to the other person. He closes his eyes and takes a few moments only to feel nothing.
He explains that his response is a “no” by default because he doesn’t like to “go there”, meaning acknowledge the emotions. However, being conscious and putting into use the inner work he did in Bali couldn’t make him feel bad or guilty.
“No, I don’t. It’s still not there. I don’t even know what that feels like,” Lewis says after a failed attempt. The complete ‘Interview with a Psychopath’ episode is available on DEEP’s YouTube channel.
