Skincare hacks straight from dermatologists

During a recent convention trip, Dr. Casale roped in a few of his colleagues to offer tips and tricks to his 91k TikTok followers.

Dr Walters top tip was that drinking two cups of spearmint tea a day can help with hormonal acne. Research does support his claim, largely thanks to the spearmint teas bustling health cocktail of anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

For Dr Shah, his ultimate skincare hack was actually a scalp-care hack to fight back pesky dandruff.

What youre going to do is massage your anti-dandruff shampoo into the scalp rather than focusing on the hair. A lot of people dont do that but the root cause is actually at the root,” he said.

Dr. Parson jumped in with the ultimate hot-weather hack. She suggested mixing Afrin with a whole bottle of CeraVe moisturizer, essentially making a cream to fight back the redness.

Another expert, Dr. Vasile, said: If you are using a Hyaluronic acid make sure to use a moisturizer with it to lock in that hydration for your skin.

Following the flurry of hacks, many social media users took to the comments to thank the dermatologists. Some even offered tips of their own.

One person wrote: I’m buying 10 boxes of spearmint tea i swear if this does not work.

Another person bragged: I usually apply any shampoo on my scalp, massage it and then work through the hair with the lather.

That spearmint tea makes a whole lot of a difference, a third added.
