Dermatologist reduces appearance of eye wrinkles in 2 days by avoiding common mistake

Eyes are considered the most attractive feature of the face, which some people are self-conscious about if they have wrinkles.

The region around your eyes can appear different for several reasons, including the deficiency of an essential nutrient. A dermatologist claims she reduced the appearance of fine lines around her eyes by simply avoiding a huge skincare mistake most of us make without realizing it.

Dermatologists advice to avoid wrinkles around the eyes

Wrinkles around the eyes are temporary if they arent caused by aging or other underlying conditions, and it isnt impossible to get rid of them.

Just like zits and dark circles, fine lines on your face can also be caused by lifestyle and dietary choices. But not watching your skincare routine while treating wrinkles can delay any improvement in its appearance.

Dr. Andrea Suarez Aka Dr. Dray also occasionally suffers from wrinkles around her eyes. However, she claims to make them go away within “a matter of days” without additional treatment or cosmetics.

As soon as I stopped doing this one thing in my skincare routine, within a matter of just two days I saw a drastic improvement in the appearance of little tiny wrinkles around my eyes, she claims.

While the skin expert knows the claim might be perceived as a bluff, she advises against using salicylic acid facewash around the eyes.

Even though salicylic acid does wonders in treating acne, blemishes, blackheads, or whiteheads, it only worsens the wrinkles around your eyes, therefore you should never wash the region around your eyes with the same.

Salicylic acid can be pretty drying to the eyelid skin which is delicate. So, it was drying the skin around my eyes making those little wrinkles very obvious, explains Dr. Dray.

Do this for improved appearance of wrinkles

Using cleansers with similar properties that cause drying around the eyes can also result in fine lines. Aside from avoiding washing your eyes with such facewash, the dermatologist recommends using products with retinoids for a better appearance.

For the unversed, retinoids are compounds derived from vitamin A and extensively used in cosmetics in cream, gel, or liquid forms.

Applying retinoids around the eyes can improve wrinkles, but you must proceed cautiously as the sensitive and thin skin may react to the substance to cause unnecessary irritation.

She recommends using retinol, which is not as strong as retinoids. “Retinol is gentler, yet effective,” says the dermatologist.
