Customer orders coffee wearing Apple Vision Pro in terrifying glimpse of the future
A man was dubbed out of touch on TikTok after he ordered a coffee and sandwich while wearing the new Apple Vision Pro headset.
Apple released its newest addition to the family earlier this month, sparking interest from both consumers and technology experts. Despite initial popularity, the rest of the human race seems very much divided on the topic.
Literally so embarrassing
Earlier this month, TikToks Greg (@gregsgadgets) posted a video to the platform showing his experience of ordering a coffee while brandishing the newly released Apple Vision Pro. Social media users were offered Gregs perspective alongside a typical camera angle showing him talking to the barista.
Greg read from a floating list and talked about the general experience while talking with an interested barista.
I have the food order popped up here so thats kinda cool, he told him before tucking into his sandwich and scrolling through Twitter at the same time.
He was slaughtered in the comments

Gregs comment section quickly became an abattoir of scathing comments and witty remarks about how ridiculous he looked.
One person wrote: Now this is actual brainrot.
Lol mom: dont sit to close to the tv it will mess up your eyes Apple: hold my beer watch this, another said, while a third added, Yeah I think a phone is enough for me thanks lol.
But some saw the promise of a brighter future, as one TikTok user said: Its crazy cause in 15-20 years this headset would literally just be a standard pair of glasses. we are in the future.
What is the Apple Vision Pro?

At the start of February, Apple changed the technology game once again with its release of the Apple Vision Pro. With a hefty price tag of $3,499, the virtual reality goggles can run virtually anything your phone can, including office-based technology like Microsoft, Slack, and PowerPoint.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a press release: Today marks the beginning of a new era for computing. Just as the Mac introduced us to personal computing, and iPhone introduced us to mobile computing, Apple Vision Pro introduces us to spatial computing.
He added: Built upon decades of Apple innovation, Vision Pro is years ahead and unlike anything created before with a revolutionary new input system and thousands of groundbreaking innovations. It unlocks incredible experiences for our users and exciting new opportunities for our developers.

The revolutionary technology has been hitting the headlines ever since, with customers divided on whether or not they look ridiculous or futuristic. Some have even compared it to the Dystopian Disney flick WALL-E.
There are also worries over the long-term side effects, as detailed in a published study from Standford University and Michigan State University.
The curvature of the technology creates a fun house mirror-like effect, distorting reality and altering the users sense of depth.
Eating was particularly difficult, the study added. Given how food near ones face appeared larger and closer in passthrough than ground truth in the world, with centimeters mattering when navigating a fork to the mouth.
