Costco is now selling Dole Whip and it’s sparking serious Disney nostalgia
What’s the most nostalgic part of a trip to Disneyland? That moment you walk down Main Street to the castle? The smell of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride? Or the churro stalls?
Well, for many it’s the iconic Pineapple Dole Whip they get every time they visit the park. If that’s one of your favorite parts too, you’re in luck – because Costco is now selling the frozen treat!

Costco is selling Dole Whip
People have been spotting a Pineapple Dole Whip at Costco stores across the US for a few months now. There are eight pots in the box and it retails for $10.49.
“Real, sun-sweetened pineapple is blended with golden honey and frozen into a creamy, enchanting treat,” the description says.
It contains real fruit, no artificial ingredients and only 110 calories per serving, transporting you to the tropical world of Dole Whip – and Disney!
The frozen treats first launched at Costco last summer, and people have seen them on sale at Food Lion and Walmart too.
Dole Whip is a soft-serve dairy-free frozen dessert that was created by Dole Food Company in 1984. Pineapple is their most famous flavor, but other fruity options are also sold.
It’s sparking Disney nostalgia
Many have taken to TikTok to share videos of the Dole Whip in Costco stores, and it’s bringing back Disney nostalgia.
At Disneyland, it’s served at the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland, while Walt Disney World serves it at Aloha Isle in Adventureland and Captain Cooks at Disneys Polynesian Resort.
“Attention all Disney people!!! Costco has Dole Whips,” one person wrote.
Another said: “I have always loved Pineapple Dole Whips at the Tiki room, so I was excited to see these at Costco.”
“The Dole Whips at Disneyland are the best! The line is always 25 people deep but the wait is so worth it,” someone else added.
Dole Whip gets mixed reviews
The frozen treats are getting mixed reviews online. Some love them, but others are disappointed that they don’t taste exactly like the Disney ones.
Many say the Dole Whip pots taste a lot more of coconut than pineapple, like a Pina Colada cocktail, even though coconut is not mentioned on the front.
The packaging does list coconut cream as the second biggest ingredient after pineapple puree, but people think the pineapple flavor could be a little stronger.
Others are upset that the texture isn’t very creamy. However, they do recommend thawing for 10 minutes before consuming “for the best taste experience”.
Someone wrote: “Not even close to Dole Whips at Disney.”
“This is just sour pineapple ice,” said another.
