Pizza Hut is helping people break up with their partner this Valentine’s Day with their brand new Goodbye Pies.
February is the month of love, but it’s surprisingly the most common time for breakups too, and what better way to deliver the bad news than with a pizza?
Pizza Hut launches ‘Goodbye Pies’
A Goodbye Pie is one of Pizza Hut’s brand new Hot Honey Pizzas with the word “Goodbye Pie” written on the top of the box alongside a picture of a broken heart.
You can add a free, personalized, breakup message inside, and there’s a space to write the unlucky person’s name on the front too.
You order the pizza and get it delivered to your future ex’s house to sodten the blow if you’re breaking up this February.
“By sending a Goodbye Pie, Pizza Hut will help you break up with your significant other by delivering a with a sweet and spicy Hot Honey pizza to ease the pain,” the fast food chain said in a press release.
The breakup pizzas launched on Tuesday, February 6, which is known as ‘Red Tuesday’ and is actually the most common day for breakups in the whole year.
How to get a Breakup Pizza
To get a breakup pizza, you need to go to the Goodbye Pies website and click “say goodbye” to order. They’re available right up until Valentine’s Day.
“Breakups are awkward. We can help. Send a free Hot Honey Goodbye Pie from now through Valentines Day, and the delivery driver will deliver the bad news in the best way,” it says.
The offer is only available in the three major US cities which are “notorious for heartbreaks” – New York, Chicago and Miami.
There are a limited number of pies available every day. If the pizzas are sold out, check back again the following day.
The website can also write a breakup text for you to send to your future ex alongside a gift card for them to redeem a Hot Honey pizza.
New Hot Honey Pizza and Wings
The brand new Hot Honey Pizza features is topped with marinara sauce, a generous layer of cheese, classic pepperoni and a hot honey drizzle.
It’s real honey infused with chilli peppers and crispy cupped pepperoni, creating a flavor sensation of sweet heat and savory saltiness.
The crisp pepperoni cups are perfectly shaped to hold the hot honey drizzle inside, and the pizza isn’t the only hot honey option.
