iPhone users are discovering this handy tool on the latest iOS 17 update that might just change how you do laundry.
The feature helps decode those hard-to-understand washing symbols on clothing items. All you need to do is scan them with the phone and it will tell you exactly what you can and cant do when washing the item.
iOS 17 was released in September, but the latest version (iOS 17.2) was released on December 11.

To use the feature, you simply take a photo of the laundry label on the clothing and swipe up on the photo and select laundry care. Doing this should show you a tab with the explanation of each laundry symbol – from do not bleach to wash by hand.

On iOS 17 you can take a photo of laundry care labels then swipe up in the photos app to tap on laundry care and get told what the icons mean.
