Ancient herb believed to ‘slow down aging’ only costs 75 cents a day

Your diet determines a lot of things, including how you look and feel. A neuroscientist discusses the multiple benefits of a common herb that’s believed to slow down aging and reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

Neuroscientist reveals ancient herb that boosts longevity

Dr. Robert Love says curcumin, a substance found in the ancient Indian root Turmeric is among the most powerful herbs.

Researchers have been studying the benefits of the herb for years and it’s best known for reducing swelling and symptoms of arthritis.

In his video, the neuroscientist details several other lesser-known benefits of curcumin, including its ability to slow down aging and add more years to your life.

Its anti-inflammatory properties slow down aging and reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease in the later stages of life.

According to Dr. Robert, another way curcumin contributes to longevity is with its antioxidant properties, which protect the cells in the body from damage and “high levels of free radicals”, said to accelerate aging.

More benefits of curcumin

In addition to longevity, curcumin reduces the risk of heart disease and certain types of cancer, says the neuroscientist.

It’s said to slow down the aging of the brain by enhancing memory, as shown in scientific studies. Dr. Robert Love’s favorite benefit is the substance’s ability to reduce amyloid plaque in the brain – a hallmark sign of Alzheimer’s disease.

If you’re wondering how much of it to consume, the neuroscientist recommends 1,000 milligrams a day. He suggests looking for a supplement of curcumin with black pepper as it drastically increases the absorption.

Amazon is selling a Turmeric Curcumin supplement by GNC Herbal Plus for $42, and each bottle consists of 60 of 1,000 milligrams caplets – 75 cents each.

In another video, the researcher also talks about three commonly consumed drinks to avoid to achieve a younger-looking skin.
