Americans beg Domino’s to release new ‘volcano pizza’ from Japan
American foodies are begging Dominos to launch a volcano-style pizza they recently unveiled in Japan that comes complete with a cheesy magma pit.
Desperately wanting food that isnt available in your country is a tortuous place to find yourself. From authentic poutine in Canada to Frances McChoconuts, the world is full to the brim with exciting flavour combinations. One such visionary idea is the pizza volcano now available in Japan.
Japan is lucky
Earlier this month, Dominos in Japan launched the 40-centimetre-wide pizza with a specially moulded crust. The dish itself looks like a volcano, with a magma chamber in the centre where an ooey-gooey cheese bubbles away. The cheese around the exterior of the pizza is also significantly crunchier, making the mix of textures truly delectable.
Currently, there are two options available to Japanese customers. Firstly, the Classic Quattro is comprised of Tropical, Genovese, American, and Margherita pizza slices.
But, if customers are looking to get fancy with their volcano, the chain is also offering a Premium Quattro made from Chefs Whimsical Vegetable Special, Giga Meat, Seafood Special, and Korean Short Ribs.
The classic is priced at 5,180 yen ($35) and the premium is available for 5,980 yen ($40).
Alongside the pizza, which is available until February 18, customers can also order the cheesy sauce separately with chicken and wedges.

Americans are positively obsessed with Dominos pizza
A yummy picture of the pizza was recently shared on the popular foodie Instagram page, @snackolator. In the comments, fans of the brand lamented the USs lack of cheesy volcanos.
One person said: Why didnt America come up with that?
Why do other markets get such creative dishes but the US gets the most generic, another fan questioned, while a third added, My god& theyve finally done it.
