‘Adorable’ board game lets your dog join in with family games night
Did you know, your dog can join in with family games night? There’s a board game for dogs and humans – and it’s loads of fun for everyone.
Whether you’ve got a Golden Retriever, Basset Hound or Frenchie, they can all join in and help one lucky human become “the dog’s best friend”. �
Board game you can play with your dog
It’s called The Dog’s Best Friend Game and was released by a company called West Paw in October 2023, retailing for $29.95.
“Unleash the fun (and even sneak in a little training) with this simple, silly game where humans laugh, dogs win, and best friends matter most,” the description says.
It was created by pet behaviorists and experts and involves a series of different mini-games that your dog can get involved in.
The box includes a non-slip dog mat, 81 illustrated game cards, eight plastic cups, two squeaky dog toys, a large soft dice and a timer.
It’s designed for 1-8 humans and 1-2 dogs, so up to 10 players can join in, and it’s really easy for kids, adults and dogs to play.
How to play The Dog’s Best Friend
The illustrated game cards show a variety of different mini-games each player can choose to play or pass with the dog.
There are loads of different ones from jumping over a line of cups to playing hide and seek and choosing whether the dice will be odd or even.
You pick up a card when it’s your turn and each one has a description explaining exactly what you need to do.
Complete the task on the card with your dog and earn points. The human with the most at the end is named “The Dog’s Best Friend”. �
‘This is beyond adorable’
The game has gone viral on TikTok this week after a woman filmed herself playing it with her small, white pooch.
They successfully managed to find a treat hidden under one of the cups and people thought it was totally adorable.
One person commented: “Stop this is so cute.”
“Why am I gonna cry right now?” said another.
A third person added: “This is beyond adorable.”
