Ad for new McDonald’s Godzilla Burger is insane, but there’s a catch for Americans
McDonalds has announced the new Godzilla burger range with an impressive advert, but its not good news for everyone.
The fast food chain is rolling out three new Godzilla-themed burgers inspired by the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which will be released in April 2024.
To celebrate the release, McDonalds debuted a show-stopping advert that could be easily mistaken for a Hollywood blockbuster itself. Its exciting, but theres a catch: Americans won’t be able to get their hands on them.

The advert is perhaps better described as a short film. It documents the scary arrival of Godzilla in Japan, as a school girl tells the audience: Godzilla is coming along with the movies theme playing.
A news conference is hosted for the monsters invasion as an official tells the public that they plan to welcome Godzilla in to Tokyo. Hes a living organism, so that means he can get hungry, an expert says.
But, a regular McChicken isnt quite enough for a giant building-sized monster, according to the scientists. One tells the public: A regular burger isnt going to cut it. Que the Godzilla burger.
When he makes his way into town, the original schoolgirl calls out to Godzilla with an offer he cant refuse. Over here, Godzilla, she says. The Godzilla Burgers are over here.
The McDonald’s Godzilla Burger is not available in the U.S.
Unfortunately, the Godzilla Burgers are only part of the new menu in Japan and are not available in other countries. The burgers arrive on Japans menu on January 5th, according to Sora News.
The new Godzilla Brugers include the Delicious Spicy Thick-cut Beef and Rough-chopped Potato burger with a beef patty and a potato patty inside, along with spicy mayo and cheese. A second Godzilla burger option is the Smokey Pepper Chicken, which features a fried chicken cutlet with bacon, cheese, onion, and smokey mustard. The Cheese Double Teriyaki includes two pork patties in a teriyaki sauce with cheese and lettuce.
As well as being on the larger side, given that they are Godzilla burgers, the buns will also feature a scale design, inspired by the monsters body.
This new McDonalds offer is available in the US though
Although Godzilla Burgers might not be branching into the United States, McDonalds Unbagged is. The hilarious feature is the fast food companys version of Spotify Wrapped.
McDonalds app users will have received an email with their 2023 recap included. Customers must have made purchase through the McDonalds app while logged into their account in order to be eligible for 2023 Unbagged.
