82-year-old’s ‘big secret’ to feeling so great that lets him live with ‘no limitations’
Everyone wants to live a long, happy and healthy life, and an 82-year-old has shared his ‘big secret’ to feeling and looking so young.
The New Yorker was stopped in the street by TikTok user Yair Brachiyahu, who asks people in later life to share their advice.

82-year-old’s ‘big secret’
When asked how he looks so young, the 82-year-old said his two health secrets are exercise and not taking prescription medication.
“I take very good care of myself. I get a lot of exercise. I walk three to five miles five times a week, which is a big secret, and I take no prescriptions,” he said.
The man added that people are “too willing” to take medication thinking it is going to cure whatever is wrong with them. Instead, they should “do something about it themselves” such as regularly exercising.
‘I don’t have any limitations’
The interviewer then asked how he truly feels at 82, to which the man said: “I’m very fortunate in that I do everything I want to do.”
He explained that he doesn’t have any “limitations” health-wise and can do exactly what he wants, including lots of travel. The 82-year-old has visited Europe twice this year and is spending Christmas in Florida.
“You’ve got to keep moving,” he said again, reiterating the importance of staying active to have good health.
MedlinePlus says it’s important for older adults to engage in four types of physical activity: endurance, strength, balance and flexibility training.
Endurance activities are things that increase your breathing and heart rate like brisk walking, jogging, dancing, swimming, and cycling. Strength exercises are important as they make your muscles stronger, such as lifting weights or carrying heavy shopping.
Balance training help prevent falls, and flexibility exercises stretch your muscles to help your body stay limber.
What makes him truly happy
When asked whether he’s happy in life, the 82-year-old quickly responded without a second thought: “Yes.”
He revealed how lucky he is to be in this situation, still able to travel and live his life exactly how he wants to.
“I’m in good health. I run around. Couldn’t be better,” he concluded.
People are in awe in the comments, with one person writing “He seems like 62, wow very amazing,” and another adding: “Such an inspiration.”
