71-year-old woman’s secret to looking so great

She was interviewed by TikTok user Yair Brachiyahu, who stops older people in the street and asks them for life advice.

When asked for her beauty tip, she said: “Positive outlook on life. You make life what it is and if you’re negative, then you’re going to have a negative life.”

Having a positive outlook on life means you stress less, which can have huge benefits on your health and appearance.

The skin often reflects whats happening inside your body and stress can have a huge impact on how our skin ages, the American Academy of Dermatology explains.

Cortisol, the body’s stress hormone, breaks down the skin’s collagenand elastin, which can speed up the aging process and cause wrinkles.

Stress can also contribute to hair thinning and hair loss, a condition called Telogen Effluvium, which also makes a person look older.

  7. Resilience: Find ways to bounce back
  8. Emotions: Look for what’s good

Similar things can also help reduce stress, including eating healthily, exercising, getting enough sleep, being mindful and not being too hard on yourself, the Mental Health Foundation explains.

It’s important to limit smoking and drinking too as they may seem to reduce the tension, but are often actually making problems worse.
