7 forgotten McDonald’s items we need back on the menu
This week, McDonalds announced the return of the Double Big Mac – but theres way more we wish would make a comeback.
The fast-food giant is set to bring back the Double Big Mac on January 24. It includes four beef patties and McDonalds lovers may remember it from the menu previously in 2020.
Bringing back the Double Big Mac is a step in the right direction, but next McDonalds should bring back these seven items were desperate to return.
Chicken Tenders
Across the globe, the UK is still lucky enough to have these on the menu under the name Chicken Selects instead. We miss Chicken Tenders and nuggets just dont live up to their memory.
Chicken Selects ended in 2013 and briefly returned two years later. In 2017, McDonalds released the Buttermilk Crispy Tenders, which were essentially the same product, but 2020 saw the end of the menu item in the US.
The Big N Tasty
This menu item was introduced way back in 1997 and was seemingly a rival of the Burger King Whopper. It held its own and stayed available at McDonalds until 2011.
What we miss the most however was the price tag. The Big N Tasty was routinely featured on the dollar menu until 2003. R.I.P Big N Tasty.

Snack Wraps
The Snack Wraps were a fan-favorite and offered the Chicken Selects in wrap form, originally with ranch sauce but later with honey mustard too. Fans might be in luck however as the chains president recently shared plans to bring Snack Wraps back as part of the McCrispy line.
According to the president of McDonalds USA though, the Snack Wrap potential return is still very early in planning, and so customers shouldnt expect it too soon.
Grilled Chicken Sandwiches
Sure, the crispy chicken sandwiches are a good alternative but something about a grilled chicken sandwich feels that slightest bit healthier.
As with many other menu items, 2020 saw the end of Grilled Chicken Sandwiches.
The Cheddar Melt
Heres a real throwback. The Cheddar Melt came to McDonalds in 1988 as a burger topped with a cheddar cheese sauce and a teriyaki sauce along with grilled onions in a rye bun.
The cheesy-goodness burger was available for just one year but returned in 2004&. Only to be officially discontinued once and for all in 2004 again.
McDonaldland Cookies
Granted, these cookies were only ever available in a Happy Meal, but they havent been around for years.
Australian McDonalds customers are still lucky enough to have these on the dessert menu.
McDonalds Chicken Fajitas
The Chicken Fajitas were introduced to the menu in 1993 and subsequently removed at a later unknown date. Featuring chicken, cheese, peppers, and onions, as per Eat This, Not That! this menu item was even on the Dollar Menu.
Were not the only ones to miss this item either, with a disgruntled McDonalds customer establishing a petition in 2013 to bring back the Chicken Fajitas.
