6 vets were asked what dog name they are ‘tired of hearing’ and they all said the same
Choosing what to call your dog is a difficult decision. Some like to go for a classic canine name, while others opt for something a little more obscure.
Whatever you decide, there’s no denying that some dog names are far more common than others, and vets are sick of hearing the same old ones over and over again.

All of the vets said the name Bella and that’s no surprise because it always tops the list of most popular dog names in the United States.
A study by US News & World Reports found that Bella is the most common dog name in 37 different states! That’s more than two-thirds. 5% of dogs in the US, which is more than 10,850 of their sample size of 811,798 dogs, are named Bella.
In Florida, there are 978 dogs named Bella, which is around 2% out of the 62,818 dogs included in the study. Of the 23,031 dogs that were sampled in Georgia, 367 of them were named Bella, which is also around 2%.
The next two most popular dog names are Luna and Max, which the vets also said they are “tired of hearing” and Milo comes in at number eight. The other responses, Princess and Gunner, aren’t in the most common.
