5 tips to get through the final two weeks of Veganuary
The number of people undertaking Veganuary has increased every year since 2015 but, despite the fact that more people than ever are trying their hand at a vegan diet, it can be incredibly hard to muster the meat-free motivation needed for those final few weeks. Fear not, however, as youre not alone and we have a handful of essential tips that may help you get over the line.
1. Plan ahead
If youre reading this then take pride in the fact that youve already got halfway through Veganuary, which can be quite an adjustment if youve been consuming meat and dairy for your whole life.
But if youre struggling to get over the mid-month hump, a top Veganuary tip is to plan ahead and prepare meals in advance to help speed up the process as we return to our busy work lives after the Christmas period.
Why not try researching some new recipes youve not tried yet and prep a few over the weekend so they are ready to go during the week?

2. Find like-minded people
Doing anything alone makes it more of a challenge than it needs to be.
One of the best tips to get through something like Veganuary is to let friends and family members know, as they may be able to offer helpful suggestions or plan to have a meat-free meal the next time you go round for dinner.
Another way to find like-minded people is to join a group who are undertaking Veganuary – whether online or in person. That way you can all help to motivate each other and share your own hints, tips and delicious vegan recipes.
3. Experiment
Have you been hankering for your favorite meat-based meal? If so, you could try recreating it with a vegan spin.
Its also worth remembering that vegan food opens up a whole new world of possibilities that any budding foodie will almost certainly be eager to dive into and experience a whole range of new flavors.
4. Remember why you started
One of the best ways of helping you to push through the final few weeks of Veganuary is to remember why you started in the first place.
Are you looking to promote better animal welfare, kinder treatment of the environment or even to improve your own health? Its worth repeating that if you start to struggle.

5. Dont worry if you slip up
Remember that were all humans capable of making mistakes and that its not the end of the world if someone accidentally brought you a milky coffee at work or if you were out for a meal with friends and you didnt want to be that guy.
All that matters is that you keep up with the vegan regime as best you can. After all, sticking with something for a full 31, especially something youve never tried before, can be incredibly difficult.
At the end of the day, its better to have tried and made mistakes along the way than to have not tried at all.
