A TikTok user has gone viral with five signs your relationship is over and the truth may be difficult to hear.

If you can relate any of these things, it might be time to nip it in the bud now or regret it for the rest of your life.

1. You’re constantly wondering if you should break up

“The person you want to be with forever should be your soulmate and you shouldn’t have to wonder if you want to break up or not,” the TikTok user Gia explained.

She said it’s normal to have some doubts, but if you’re always debating whether you should be in the relationship, alarms should be going off.

2. One or both of you is putting in less effort than the start

Effort shows how much you two care about each other, so it’s the one thing that’s going to keep you both together.

“So if one or both of you guys start to lack it, that’s when you know things are going downhill,” the TikTok user added.

3. There’s a lack of intimacy

Intimacy doesn’t just mean sex. Basic cuddling, affection and kisses are all so important for a happy relationship.

“You are dating someone and with somebody because you are in love with them, not because they are your best friend.”

4. One or both of you stopped caring

If you no longer care about what the other person is doing and aren’t trying to hang out, the relationship could be heading for doom.

“You’re just over it and if you don’t care, then that level of attachment and intimacy is just gone,” – which means game over.

5. The emotional connection is fading

Finally, if you’re going to be with this person for the rest of your life, your emotional connection needs to be so strong.

“You need to be able to talk about anything and everything and you want them to be your support system.”
