A prostate cancer survivor has shared the three biggest things he learned from his health battle whilst also arguing that the medical community needs to share more information.
Cancer is unfortunately one of the most famous diseases on the planet, with its many variations directly affecting the health of millions of people each year. Numbers are expected to rise over the coming years, with experts projecting a 93% increase in men alone by 2050.

Cancer survivors mantra is inspiring, to say the least
With cancer so prevalent and so vicious, its rare to find hope in a room overcrowded with debilitating disease. TikToks The Juice Guy (@thejuiceguy54) is changing that trend for his 378k followers.
Taking to the video-sharing app last month, The Juice Guy recalled the major lessons he learned from battling prostate cancer.
The first thing is that you have to become your own advocate, he said while preparing a green juice made from mint leaves, romaine lettuce, lime, and green apples. I was shocked to find during my own research, studies linking certain foods that I ate all the time to prostate cancer.
Though no food in itself causes cancer, some tonnes have been linked to an increased likelihood of developing cancer. Ultimately, The Juice Guy said he would have loved for a doctor to share that information with him.
His second life lesson came as he realized: Fate is not what the future holds, but knowing who holds it.
The hopeful statement encapsulates what it means to be battling a disease. Nothing is set in stone, and there is always hope.
Finally, The Juice Guy said that nothing, and I mean nothing, tastes as good as healthy feels. Basically, next time you are eyeing up the newest fast food release, consider that it might not taste as good as a healthier lifestyle will feel in the future.
Other cancer survivors said they missed out on information
Concerningly, many people in the TikTok comments admitted to having next to no information from their doctor about diet and general healthy living.
One person revealed: Im also a cancer survivor! Three years ago I had stage 3 colon cancer. It drives me crazy how little help Im getting to actually be healthy! Im doing all of my own research! Howd you get started?
Facts. my husband had stage 4 lung cancer and I had stage 3 lymphoma Cancer my husband lost his battle but I became my own advocate, another said.
Other fans hailed the Juice Guys helpful mantras as revolutionary, as one person penned: Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels. Im gonna live by that now.
