21 unique pet names for your dog, based on Disney characters

A few months ago I got my first puppy, a sweet apricot Cavapoo, and Id already had his name picked out for years – Remy. Hes named after the rat from the Disney Pixar movie Ratatouille, which was released in 2007.

It’s always been my favorite film and people have already complimented his unique name on many occasions. If you also fancy naming your pet after a Disney character, here are 21 more rare names that arent just Nala or Pluto.

1. Buzz

Why not name your furry friend after Buzz Lightyear, the space ranger from Toy Story.

2. Coco

Another cute name is Coco, after the 2017 movie about the Land of the Dead.

3. Duke

Next up is Duke, the smart-mouthed weasel and main protagonist in Zootopia.

4. Felix

If you love the movie Wreck-It-Ralph, Felix could be your perfect pooch name.

5. Raya

Another option is Raya, from the 2021 film Raya and the Last Dragon.

6. Gus

A more traditional one is Gus, the adorable mouse in Cinderella.

7. Wendy

Next up is Wendy, the girl who travels to Neverland with Peter Pan.

8. Stella

Princess and the Frog fans will love Stella, the name of Charlottes pet bloodhound.

9. Russell

Another sweet name is Russell, the young Wilderness Explorer in the film Up.

10. Hugo

Hugo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame is a brilliant dog name too.

11. Bruce

Or what about Bruce, the wide-mouthed shark in Finding Nemo?

Next up is Rex, the cute green dinosaur from Toy Story.

16. Beast

Beast from Beauty and the Beast could be a great dog name too.

17. Flounder

Another one is Flounder, the sweet yellow fish in The Little Mermaid.

18. Copper

An adorable pooch name is Copper, the hound dog in The Fox and the Hound.

19. Giselle

Giselle, the princess from Enchanted who is sent to New York, is a sweet one too.

20. Cleo

Next up is Cleo, Geppettos pet goldfish in Pinocchio.

21. Flora

Finally we have Flora, one of the three good fairies in Sleeping Beauty.
