Star jockey Hollie Doyle is breaking all sorts of records in horse racing, but many fans want to know exactly how tall the pioneering jockey is.
How tall is Hollie Doyle?
The 24-year-old is exactly 5ft, and weighs less than 8st. Doyle recently broke her own record for the number of winners ridden by a British woman in a year, while also setting her new mark in a quicker time and with fewer rides.
Doyle rode a historic double on British Champions Day and also became the first woman to ride five winners on the same card. She also clinched her first victory at Royal Ascot.
She is currently in a relationship with fellow jockey Tom Marquand, and her boyfriend also had a successful season on the track.
Doyle’s father was also a jockey, while her mother was a regular on the Arab Racing Circuit.
SPOTY 2020 nominee
Doyle made further history this year when she was revealed as a contender for SPOTY 2020, becoming the first jockey to be up for the coveted award since AP McCoy in 2013.
She joins heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury, Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, England cricket Stuart Broad, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, and snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan on the list.
The awards take place live on the BBC on December 20th, where Doyle could be the first woman to lift the prestigious trophy since Zara Phillips in 2006.
Upon being nominated, Doyle said: “It is a huge privilege to be nominated for such an illustrious award.
“It’s hard to get my head around being nominated alongside the likes of Lewis Hamilton, but I’m really pleased that horse racing has been recognised alongside these sports.”
