The Boyfriend Dungeon controversy explained

Alexander Gross, aka Octopimp, voices the villain in Boyfriend Dungeon, Eric the Blacksmith. This villain is known for his stalking tendencies, as he harasses many characters in the game.

Since the game’s release, fans have complained that its content warning was not specific enough as to the nature of the story’s triggers.

This has now been addressed by the company, who promised fans they’ll make the content warnings more explicit.

While some fans were taking up this issue with Kitfox games, others saw fit to send hateful tweets towards voice actor Alexander Gross, for his Boyfriend Dungeon character. He recently commented on this via his Twitter account.

Many people rushed to support Octopimp on social media.

Gross has since thanked everyone for supporting him, and for all the kind words he has received.
