Houssem Aouar, Florian Neuhaus and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Yves Bissouma have all been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, as reported by Goal.
The report states with midfield dynamo Georginio Wijnaldum set to leave the club on a free transfer, Liverpool have put Aouar, Neuhaus and Bissouma at the top of their transfer shortlist.
Wijnaldum’s contract ends in June and the Dutchman will be a big loss to Liverpool if he decides to move on. The 30-year-old has appeared in all 26 Premier League games for the Reds this season.
Bissouma – ready-made for the Reds
Bissouma has the advantage of Premier League experience, albeit for a Brighton side that sits three points above the relegation zone.
The 24-year-old is primarily a defensive player, with just one goal to his name this season.
In the Premier League this season, Bissouma has averaged a WhoScored rating of 6.88 out of 10. That’s the second-highest rating in the Brighton squad after Solly March (7.07).

Liverpool eyeing midfield options
Aouar and Neuhaus, meanwhile, are also fine options for Liverpool.
Aouar plays for Lyon and has scored five goals in Ligue 1 this season, three of them in the past ten matches.
The 22-year-old can also play as a more attacking midfielder and edges Neuhaus on league goals this season, with the German netting four.
However, the 23-year-old German trumps Aouar when it comes to assists. Neuhaus has five in the Bundesliga for Borussia Monchengladbach, two ahead of the Frenchman.
All three players seem solid options for Liverpool with plenty of potential. Now it all comes down to whether Wijnaldum signs that pesky contract.
