Defender Hector Bellerin is considering leaving Arsenal in the summer amid interest from across Europe, according to CBS.

They report that Arsenal are not actively looking to sell the Spaniard but are ready if he decides to make the move.

Norwich’s Max Aarons and Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey are named as two potential targets to replace Bellerin if he goes.

The report says that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the defender, although GFFN contradicted that story last night.

Bellerin apparently holds great affection towards the club he has been at since the age of 16 and wants to leave on good terms.

PSG tried to sign Bellerin in the summer, but didn’t get close to Arsenal’s valuation.

Bellerin is one of many Arsenal players who have two years remaining on their contract – which is worth £110,000 per week according to Spotrac.

That may prompt some tough but pragmatic decisions from Mikel Arteta as he seeks to reshape his squad in the summer.

To do that, he’ll likely need to raise money from player sales and those with dwindling contracts are only going to decrease in value.

Both Aarons and Lamptey are promising English right-backs who Arsenal would hope to tempt with European football.

It seems their main hope of getting back into the Champions League is via the Europa League.

And they face a huge match in that competition on Thursday night against Benfica, with the tie in the balance at 1-1 after the first leg.
