Rangers have already sewn up the Scottish Premiership title and face just three fixtures in April as it stands.

Their focus will squarely be on domestic action following the exit from the Europa League at the hands of Slavia Prague.

The Scottish Cup takes centre stage on Sunday with a home tie against Cove Rangers.

Rangers’ only two league matches of the month are at home to Hibernian and away to St Johnstone. Here are our predictions…

Cove Rangers (H) – Win

The reason Rangers only have three fixtures in place for April as it stands is because the fourth and fifth round are also due to take place this month too.

They’ll happen on the weekend commencing the 17th and 24th respectively, and Rangers will hope to ensure steady progress.

Gerrard will expect to beat Cove Rangers and take another step closer to ending the season with another trophy.

Rangers need to use their title success as a springboard to scoop more trophies and they’ve got every chance of doing that.

Hibernian (H) – Win

The cup will probably take priority this month but there’s no reason Rangers can’t keep their league form going too.

There’s also the prospect of going the season unbeaten and Rangers won’t want to let it slip in the closing weeks of the season.

Hibs should finish third so this one won’t be an easy game, as the tight 1-0 Boxing Day indicated.

The Gers should get the job done, but won’t have it all their own way.

St Johnstone (A) – Win

St Johnstone are the worst team in the divided league and Rangers should extend their unbeaten run in this midweek clash.

They’ve knocked seven past them in three matches this season without reply.

By the end of the month, Rangers will hope to be in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup and two steps closer to finishing the league campaign undefeated.
