Here’s a round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Rangers.

Here’s a further update on transfer news coming out of Ibrox.

Possible signings

Jack Simpson and Nnamdi Ofoborh

Rangers have opened talks with Bournemouth over deals for Jack Simpson and Nnamdi Ofoborh, according to the Glasgow Times.

Steven Gerrard is said to be an admirer of both players and the Gers are reportedly discussing a double swoop for the Championship players.

However, Rangers may need to get their skates on as Cardiff City are rumoured to have already had a bid accepted for Simpson. The defender was a target for Gerrard in summer 2018, according to Record Sport.

Both players are out of contract in the summer.

John Lundstram

Rangers remain keen on Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram, as reported by The Athletic.

While the Gers are hardly desperate for an attacking midfielder, Lundstram is out of contract in the summer and the Gers could pounce in the next window to acquire the Englishman on a free transfer.

Blades fans, meanwhile, want the midfielder to sign a new contract.

Press Association journalist Andy Newport has given his insight into reports linking Rangers with Ben Davies and Scott Wright.

Football Insider claimed the Gers were battling Celtic for Davies’ signature from Preston North End. Meanwhile, BBC Sport insisted Gerrard was keen to bring Wright in from Aberdeen.

Newport’s latest update suggests the club has decided not to make an approach for Davies, while there have been no developments regarding Wright.

However, Newport insisted the club would pursue the Aberdeen winger in the summer.

Fashion Sakala

Record Sport suggests Rangers are preparing a pre-contract agreement for KV Oostende’s Fashion Sakala.

The report suggests the Gers will face competition from West Ham and Newcastle United for the striker.

The 23-year-old is out of contract in the summer having joined Oostende from Spartak Moscow’s B team in 2018.

Sakala hit double figures in attacking returns last season (eight goals and three assists) in 28 league games. He has managed eight goals and two assists in 19 games this term.
