Possible departures

Dwight Gayle

One player who could exit St James’ Park this month is striker Dwight Gayle. The 30-year-old is being eyed by former Newcastle midfielder Scott Parker.

According to the Daily Mail, the Fulham boss views Gayle as the ideal player to fire the club to Premier League safety.

DeAndre Yedlin

Another player linked with a January exit is full-back Yedlin, whose profile has been boosted after a recent run of starts under Bruce.

Journalist Ives Galarcep claims one Major League Soccer club has already made a bid for the American.

Rolando Aarons

First out of the door this month, however, could be winger Rolando Aarons. The 25-year-old has had five successive loan spells during his time at the club.

The Shields Gazette claims his journey with the Magpies could come to an end this month. Championship side Huddersfield Town are reportedly leading the race for his signature.
