Liverpool transfer update – possible signings
Nikola Maksimovic
According to Sky Sports, the Reds are chasing Napoli centre-back Nikola Maksimovic.
The Italian club’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, comfirmed Liverpool had made an enquiry about the defender but added he was waiting to hear from the Reds again.

Yves Bissouma
Speaking on The Transfer Window Podcast, Duncan Castles said Klopp is interested in signing Brighton and Hove Albion’s Yves Bissouma.
The midfielder has also been linked with Arsenal of late but Klopp is thought to view Bissouma as a long-term replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

Loic Bade
Another potential solution to Liverpool’s defensive woes is RC Lens youngster Loic Bade.

According to le10sport, Liverpool are monitoring the 20-year-old centre-back’s progress in France. He is, however, also wanted by AC Milan.

Adam Lewis
Liverpool’s young left-back Adam Lewis has had his season-long loan at Amiens cut short, as reported by RMC, via GFFN.
The academy graduate made nine appearances in France but has returned to Merseyside.
Klopp will now decide whether Lewis is sent out on loan again this month or remains as defensive cover.

Divock Origi
Wolverhampton Wanderers have given up on Divock Origi, according to the Daily Mirror.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has reportedly been told there aren’t enough funds at the club to bring in the striker.

Taiwo Awoniyi
Currently on loan at Union Berlin, Taiwo Awoniyi has said he’s desperate to play for his parent club.
The 23-year-old has been sent out on several loans, having joined the Reds in 2015. However he has told First Time Finish he’s eager to impress Klopp i given the chance.

Dayot Upamecano
Klopp is also reportedly keen on RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano as he looks to bolster his defensive options.
However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has told Sky Sports News Upamecano’s signature is “impossible” this month.
