Leon Bailey

Bayer Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey is desperate to seal a move to the Premier League, according to Sport BILD.

But Arsenal will have to battle it out with rivals London for his signature. Bailey has nine goals and seven assists in 21 games this season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.

The youngster had been a target for Arteta, but he looks set to be heading back to Barcelona, where he spent the majority of his youth career.

Julian Draxler

Despite Arsenal scouting Julian Draxler extensively, Arteta has reservations over signing the attacker, as per EuroSport.


The Gunners are reportedly keen to sign a creative player on loan this month. The PSG star has been rumoured with a move to north London, but Arteta isn’t sure he is the right player to solve the club’s attacking problems.

FootMercato claims that Arsenal are interested in brining former Stoke man Steven Nzonzi back to the Premier League.

The midfielder also spent time in England with Blackburn. He is currently on loan at Rennes from Italian club Roma.

According to talkSPORT, Arteta is keen to strengthen his goalkeeping options, and could turn to Brentford stopper David Raya.

The Gunners let second-choice Emiliano Martinez leave for Aston Villa last summer.

Arsenal could also move for Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan should a move for Raya fail to materialise.

Arsenal are eager to offload Sokratis Papastathopoulos this month. But Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the defender’s former club Genoa are no longer interested in a deal to bring him to Italy this month.

The centre-back’s contract expires at the end of the season, but the north London side are keen to free up space and money by selling him now.

Defender Rob Holding has signed a new long-term contract with the club. The deal will run until 2024, with the option of a further year.

Trae Coyle & Zech Medley recalled

Youngsters Trae Coyle and Zech Medley are expected to be recalled from their loan spells at Gillingham.

According to KentOnline, the duo will head back to north London this month.
