Kevin De Bruyne put on a man of the match worthy performance when facing Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Manchester City are now edging closer to securing the Premier League title after another impressive win against Leicester City on Saturday.
However, their title charge will have to be paused soon, with their next challenge coming against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Despite Kevin De Bruyne failing to score or assist against the Foxes, the Belgium international still put on a man of the match worthy display.
De Bruyne – the creator once again for City
Benjamin Mendy opened the scoring after 59 minutes, with not much happening in the first-half.
Gabriel Jesus was the only other goalscorer, being set up by Raheem Sterling.
De Bruyne didn’t manage to get a goal or assist, but did hit the woodwork on one occasion and completed three key passes.
So the City star could have created many more chances for him to help in the goal department.
The midfielder was always moving forward, completing four dribbles which was more than any other Manchester City player in the match.
Only Ayoze Perez completed the most dribbles, with the Foxes winger completing six in total.
De Bruyne’s stats so far this season
In 22 Premier League starts this season, the Belgium midfielder has managed to register 11 assists and five goals.
The 29-year-old came close to adding to that tally against Leicester when hitting the post.
It’s rare that the City star has a bad match for Pep Guardiola’s side, with De Bruyne averaging a Whoscored rating of 7.56 out of 10 in the league.
De Bruyne also performs well when playing in Europe, getting four assists and one goal in three Champions League outings.
