Wingstop unveiled its new Blazed & Glazed flavour sauce yesterday, ahead of 20 April (aka 4/20), to honour the date. What’s in it, and where can you get your hands on it?

What’s in the new Wingstop 4/20 sauce, Blazed & Glazed?

Wingstop shared its new sauce with the world via Twitter yesterday, with a New Flavour Alert.

Blazed & Glazed, stylised with fancy lettering, is “sticky, sweet, and herbal”. And it’s “the closest thing to 420 besides… well you know”, the company added with a winking emoji. Yes, we know.

But what’s in it?

According to QSR Magazine, Wingstop’s all-new 4/20 sauce is crafted with “a blend of hemp seeds, terpenes, strawberry and cayenne pepper”. It’s “designed to taste like 4/20 – capturing the herbal notes of the holiday”. You get the gist.

What’s more, it “may even produce a mouth-tingling sensation”, although the press release is keen to note that it “won’t actually get you high”. It does not contain CBD or THC.

“While many brands are starting to give a nod to 4/20,” QSR quotes Wingstop’s chief growth officer Marisa Carona as saying, “we’re going higher than ever this year by dedicating an entire flavour to it.”

Blazed & Glazed marks the company’s first custom flavour in honour of the holiday. However, it doesn’t yet appear on the Wingstop website’s Find Your Flavour page.

Where to buy it online or in-person

Wingstop’s new Blazed & Glazed flavour should be available in restaurants nationwide, starting yesterday (18 April 2022) and finishing Friday (22 April 2022).

In other words, for two days either side of 4/20, Blazed & Glazed is available while stocks last. You can also purchase it on Wingstop.com or on the Wingstop app.

The flavour will also be available to buy in person from the Wingstop food truck on Hippie Hill in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on 20 April (tomorrow), “to infuse flavour into the festival”. Enjoy!
