If you’ve been searching for the perfect Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) plans, look no further. Chain restaurants across the US are bringing out love-inspired pizzas that will save you from cooking and won’t break the bank.

The heart-shaped pizza is a staple part of Valentine’s Day consumerism for a reason – they’re cheesy (pun intended) but delicious.

Where to get a heart-shaped pizza this Valentine’s Day 2022

From 8 February, US consumers can pop into their local Pizza Hut and grab a heart-shaped pizza for $11.99 (price may vary depending on location). The deal can also be upgraded to include a chocolate chip cookie or triple chocolate brownie.

Papa John’s will offer a thin crust heart-shaped pizza. It will come uncut, the company says, because Papa John’s doesn’t want to “break your heart”.

From 9 to 14 February, California Pizza Kitchen will offer customers a Valentine’s ‘Sweet Deal For Two’, offering one appetiser, two entrees and one dessert for between $40 and $50. Dine-in customers will be able to stack two heart-shaped pizzas on a thin crispy crust as part of the deal.

If you live near a Lou Malnati venue, you can pick up a heart-shaped pizza from 7 to 14 February.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza will be offer the commodity all month long. You can enjoy a large one-topping pizza, sliced or unsliced – that’s your choice.

For $10, you can get a simple cheese or pepperoni HeartBreaker from Papa Murphy’s. If you feel like splashing out, the company offers a $14 deal that includes a heart-shaped pizza and chocolate chip cookies. The deal will be available throughout February.

If in Japan this Valentine’s 2022, try the Domino’s Love’roni

It doesn’t look as though Domino’s US will be getting involved in the heart-shaped pizza trend this Valentine’s Day. However, its customers in Japan can pick up the Love’roni, a heart-shaped crust with heart-shaped pepperoni slices for 1,699 yen ($14.70). For dessert, Domino’s Japan is offering the Lovin’ Fondant Chocolat, a heart-shaped lava cake.

Twitter reacts to heart-shaped pizza trend

Food-lovers are flocking to Twitter to express their thoughts at the trend. One user announced they would be “going with the heart-shaped pizza”.

Another said they would be “eating an entire heart-shaped pizza on Valentine’s Day out of spite”.

A third tweeted: “Pizza place nearby is giving me a coupon in the mail for a heart-shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day knowing I’m single.”
