Girl Scouts will be adding Adventurefuls brownie cookies for their 2022 selling season, the latest new flavour in their “iconic” lineup – when do they sell cookies, and can you buy Girl Scouts cookies and brownies online?
When do Girl Scouts sell cookies?
The Girl Scouts website’s Adventurefuls page features a big pink countdown timer, which currently (as of 18 August) reads: 145 days to go. 145 days from now, the date will be 10 January, 2022.
So, expect cookies and brownies galore from mid January. Although, having said that, the website also features a disclaimer: “Cookie Season start dates vary”.
Those wondering how, when and where to buy the new Girl Scout brownie cookies, or any of their other regular cookies, should “check with your local Girl Scout council for the start dates in your area”.
How to buy Girl Scout cookies and brownies online
Traditionally, Girl Scouts sell their cookies door-to-door, via pop-up and booth sales, and by pre-order. Are they available online? It wouldn’t be the 21st century if they weren’t.
“This year,” reads the website, “it’s easier than ever to find cookie booths in your area, or even order cookies online!”
To find out where to buy a batch of Girl Scout cookies, you can either download the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app, text COOKIES to 59618, or visit girlscoutcookies.org online and go to Cookie Finder.
Not only that, Girl Scout cookies are available to buy online via the Digital Cookie platform. Earlier this year, USA Today reported that Google-developed Wing drones had even been delivering cookies by air.
Which Girl Scout Cookie varieties will feature in the 2022 season?
Next season’s roster of Girl Scout Cookies features 11 regulars and one new flavour – Adventureful, a brownie cookie.
The regulars include Girl Scout S’mores, Do-si-dos, Tagalongs, Lemon-Ups and Toast-Yay!s.
They describe the Adventureful as an “indulgent brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavoured crème and a hint of sea salt”.
A serving (of two cookies) contains 130 calories, 6g fat and 11g sugar.
