Who is Bake Off’s Ruby Bhogal?

Bhogal made her television debut on The Great British Bake Off in 2018. To compete in the series, Bhogal had to travel from her day job at Network Rail every Friday evening to the show’s location in Berkshire.

There, she got stuck into the challenges set by Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.

At the time, according to staffing agency Talascend International, the only people who knew of Bhogal’s venture into the world of baking were her boss, her project manager, and a member of Network Rail’s communications team.

Otherwise, Ruby Bhogal’s Bake Off adventure was a secret. Bhogal struggled to keep it quiet, saying, “I told so many lies (to my family and friends), it was awful”.

Is Ruby Bhogal married?

Does Ruby Bhogal have a partner? Despite reports that she was sure she was going to marry British boxing champion Anthony Joshua, there is no evidence that anything came of it.

Nevertheless, she manages to live a glamorous life. Bhogal regularly updates her followers with images of her bakes, travels, and her dog, Milo.

Where is Ruby Bhogal now?

Since leaving Bake Off, Ruby Bhogal has worked with Stork on their #BakeSomeoneHappy campaign.

Hello Magazine quoted her saying: “I know it sounds cheesy, but baking really is great for the soul and it brings a lot of happiness to people that you love. It’s about making it quick, easy and accessible for everyone.”

In July this year, GQ Magazine featured Bhogal’s vegan Pimm’s cake on their website. While it may jar with the Christmas season, it is nonetheless a “seasonal stunner”.

She also regularly posts recipes and ideas on her Instagram feed.

According to The Sun, Bhogal’s first experiences of baking were her mother’s jalebis. A jalebi is a type of sweet popular in the Middle East, as well as South and Western Asia.

Bhogal is of Indian and African heritage, and holds a degree in Architecture and Construction.
