You can find a holiday to celebrate most things nowadays and as National Cheeseburger Day rolls around, a number of burger chains from Jack in the Box to In-N-Out are offering deals and freebies on their stacked up patties.

It feels only yesterday that fast food joints were celebrating National Burger Day. Now has come the moment to celebrate the patty’s dairy-fied sibling, the cheeseburger.

This year sees National Cheeseburger Day celebrated on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Several chains will be participating in the celebrations with discounts and freebies lined up. And if Jack in the Box has your favourite cheesy patty, then you’re in luck. Let’s take a look.

What’s on offer at Jack in the Box for National Cheeseburger Day?

San Diego’s own burger chain Jack in the Box is offering a deal to mark National Cheeseburger Day 2022 which can be accessed via its Jack in the Box rewards app.

Those who download the app and order food will receive a 20% discount on their order to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day. This means that you can get their Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger for just $2.

The Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger is stacked with a grilled all-beef patty, two American cheese slices, as well as all the other burger favourites: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup. For just $2, this burger deal is one of the best around.

The new Jack in the Box deal differs from previous years

If you thought the $2 cheeseburger deal from Jack in the Box was a steal, then wait ’til you hear about what they offered on previous National Cheeseburger Days.

Back in 2020, Thrillist reported that Jack in the Box were offering up free Jumbo Jack cheeseburgers with any purchase through its mobile app. So, say you ordered a portion of fries, you get a Jumbo Jack on the side, for free. It’s a pretty awesome deal to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day.

What’s more? It wasn’t just on offer on September 18, as the deal lasted through September 20.

More burger joints are offering up free cheeseburgers

If you’re looking for a free cheeseburger, then a number of chains are offering a similar deal to Jack in the Box back in 2020, offering a free burger alongside any purchase.

Wendy’s lovers will be able to get a free Dave’s Single with cheese with any purchase made on the Wendy’s app. This is available from Sunday, September 18 to Wednesday, September 21. Fast food giant McDonald’s are also offering up a similar deal.

A McDonald’s double cheeseburger is free with any $1 purchase made through the McDonald’s app.
