With fall just around the corner, some Twitter users felt the autumnal vibes early as they swooned over a set of Starbucks acorn mugs on Twitter.
The mugs, fit with lids to make them appear as the woodland nut, caused a buzz on Twitter this week after a user shared a photo of two different variations of the drinkware.
As users gushed over the designs, some were curious to know if they are available to buy. The Starbucks mugs are available online, but the prices may be more than what you were expecting.
Starbucks’ acorn mug has Twitter users swooning
That fall feeling was seen to start early for some users on Twitter this week after a Starbucks mug in the shape of an acorn caused a buzz on the micro-blogging platform.
The mug has an acorn-style lid to keep your hot drinks warm, along with the classic Starbucks emblem on the front of its cream-coloured ceramic mug.
The post that sparked the love for the acorn mug was by the Twitter account Softness Daily, which as per their bio, offers its followers a “daily dose of softness.”
It pictured both the cream acorn style mug as well as a glass version which featured an orange-coloured glass at its centre and had a Fox on its acorn top.
In the replies to the post, users gushed over how “cute” both the designs were. One wrote: “Oh my goodness, I needs it.” While another added: “Stop, this is so cute.”
The acorn mug featured in Starbucks China’s 2021 autumn range
While the acorn-style mugs left fans swooning on Twitter this week, they were actually released last year as part of a limited edition Starbucks China collection.
The range, which was released last September, was titled Autumn Forest and featured in Starbucks China’s mid-autumn festival, among other releases.
The acorn was one of the many forest-themed items, with the collection also featuring several other mugs as well as thermal bottle flasks and tumblers. You can check out the full collection below:
The mug is still available online via resellers but it’ll cost you
Those looking to add the limited edition Starbucks acorn offerings to their mug collection this fall can find them online through resellers but the prices may make you change your mind.
We found several listings on eBay for the two mugs featuring both the ceramic and glass versions of the acorn mug however, many were priced well over $30.
The cheapest listing for the cream mug was for $39.99, with another on sale for a whopping $85.99. The glass version of the acorn mug featured in the tweet appeared to be slightly less, as the cheapest we found it for was $19.99. However, another listing had it priced for as much as $64.99.
