Where to buy Bud Light NEXT as Super Bowl commercial lands

Bud Light “breaks traditional beer conventions” with its all-new zero carb beer – apparently the world’s first – but where can you buy it, and when does it become available?

Here’s where to buy Bud Light NEXT

Bud Light NEXT is available nationwide “wherever Bud Light is sold”, according to the product’s press release on the Anheuser-Busch website.

If that’s true, it should be available to buy from 501 places in the New York City area. Bud Light is also purchasable in Australia (since 2018), meaning NEXT should hit shelves there too.

The official Bud Light online retailer currently redirects to goPuff for online orders of Bud Light NEXT.

Given that Bud Light is “far and away the most popular beer brand in the United States” – from USA Today – its new NEXT zero carb beer should be widely available across all states from today (Monday, 7 February 2022).

How do Bud Light NEXT’s ingredients differ from regular beer?

Bud Light NEXT has zero carbs, only 80 calories per can (12 fl oz), zero sugar, and is 4% ABV. Regular Bud Light, by contrast, has six grams of carbs, 110 calories, and 4.2% ABV.

Its ingredients include malted barley and rice. However, Anheuser-Busch is noticeably tight-lipped about the actual processes behind the production of Bud Light NEXT – “Does a magician ever share their secrets? Never!”

The full list of ingredients in Bud Light NEXT is: water, malt, rice, and “natural flavours”. Vine Pair calls it a cross between beer and hard seltzer.

“When properly converted in the brewhouse,” reads IntechOpen’s deep dive on the use of rice in brewing, rice “yields to a light clean-tasting beer”. Sound familiar?

Rice has a neutral aroma and flavour, and a lower oil content than corn, although others take a more cynical view of Anheuser-Busch’s preference for rice over straight barley.

Bud Light N3XT NFT price revealed

To “commemorate” the release of Bud Light NEXT, Anheuser-Busch is launching an NFT project – the Bud Light N3XT Collection.

There’s a $10,000 cap per person per day for Bud Light NFT purchases, including gas fees and sales tax. They are only available in the US.
