Stone Cold Steve Austin drops new lager
This week WWE icon Steve Austin, better known by ring name ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, announced he was launching Broken Skull American Lager. The beverage is produced in partnership with independent Los Angeles brewer El Segundo Brewing Company.
It was released on Wednesday and honours 3:13 day (16 March) which, for those who are unaware, celebrates Steve Austin and his wrestling career.
The day references a post-interview moment after he defeated Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts in 1996 when he quipped: “Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your a**!” The phrase took off and marked the start of his 3:16 wrestling era, WWE reports.
Austin announced the launch of Broken Skull American Lager on Monday (14 March) on Instagram and Twitter, as well as a promotional video for WWE.

It’s not the wrestler’s first beverage launch
In 2015, the former WWE star launched craft beer Broken Skull IPA, which was also created with El Segundo Brewing Company.
The name of the IPA and lager reference the wrestler’s Broken Skull Ranch in Texas. The IPA is still available to buy via the same methods mentioned above, meaning customers can enjoy both beverages together.
