Popular video game Borderlands and renowned whisky brand Ballantine’s have collaborated on a limited-edition bottle, but where is the Ballantine’s Moxxi drink available to buy?
If you’re a fan of Borderlands, you will probably be excited to hear there’s a new whisky on the market inspired by the game. The bottle features a familiar Borderlines character, Mad Moxxi, who is also fronting the promo.
Unfortunately, if you failed to get in quick, the first batch sold out within an hour. However, we take a look at where Borderlands fans can register their interest when the next batch becomes available so they can get their hands on Ballantine’s Moxxi whisky.

Ballantine’s announces Borderlands collab
This week it was announced whisky brand Ballantine’s had released a limited-edition batch of the spirit in collaboration with video game series Borderlands.
Whisky-lovers will know Ballantine’s is renowned across Europe for its scotch. The whisky brand announced it would collaborate with Borderlands via a tweet on Wednesday (20 April) as it introduced customers to the face of the new drink, Mad Moxxi.
With its ties to the video game series, it’s no surprise those who get their hands on a bottle will be rewarded with exclusive content.
On the Ballantine’s website it explains all purchases of the limited edition bottle will be accompanied by four “unique and redeemable heads” to use in-game on Borderlands.

Borderlands’ Mad Moxxi character fronts the campaign
The new release is fronted by Borderlands’ Mad Moxxi who, as fans know, is a bar owner in the game.
As part of the promotion, the fictional character has been appointed Ballantine’s chief galactic expansion officer.

Where to buy the Ballantine’s and Borderlands Moxxi whisky
The Ballantine’s and Borderlands whisky is currently sold out – the first batch went within an hour – but, when more stock is available, you will be able to buy it on Drinks & Co as well as The Whisky Exchange.
Those wanting to know when the bottle will come back in stock can sign up to a mailing list on both sites to be notified when it finally drops.
