It has been announced that Princess Iman of Jordan is engaged – but who is her fiancé Jameel Thermiotis?
News of Princess Iman’s engagement, who is the daughter of Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan and King Abdullah II, was announced on Wednesday (6 July).
The royal couple has kept their relationship under wraps until now, with some having wondered more about Princess Iman’s soon-to-be husband. Here’s everything we know.

Princess Iman of Jordan is engaged to fiancé Jameel Thermiotis
On Wednesday, it was revealed that wedding bells were set to chime as it was announced Princess Iman bint Abdullah II had got engaged to fiancé Jameel Thermiotis.
The Royal Hashemite Court shared the news via an official statement which explained the two had got engaged during an intimate gathering on Tuesday (5 July) before both of the couple’s families.
The court’s message ended as it extended its “sincere congratulations” to the couple and wished them a “lifetime of happiness.” The news was also shared on the RHC official Twitter as a portrait of the couple showing Princess Iman’s ring was included.
Who is Jameel Thermiotis?
Princess Iman’s fiancé Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, is a financier based in New York.
According to The National, he was born in 1994 in Caracas, Venezuela, meaning he would be turning 28 years old as of 2022.
The publication also explains that Thermiotis also has a bachelor’s degree in business administration. It has also been reported that he currently works as a managing partner at a venture capital fund in New York.

Royal couple kept relationship private before engagement
Before news broke on Wednesday of their engagement, Princess Iman and Jameel Thermiotis appear to have kept their relationship away from the public eye.
While it is not known how long they have been together or their wedding plans, Queen Rania was seen to share her blessing of their union on Instagram.
Following the official statement by The Royal Hashemite Court, Queen Rania wished her daughter and Jameel “a life filled with love and laughter!”:
Princess Iman and Jameel Thermiotis’ age difference explored
Princess Iman is the second-born child of Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan and King Abdullah II’s four children.
The Jordan royal couple welcomed their daughter on 27 September 1996, meaning she is currently 25 years old.
Eldest born is Crown Prince Hussein, 28, followed by Princess Salma, 21 and Prince Hashem, 17.
As Princess Iman’s fiancé, Jameel Thermiotis, is reported to have been born in 1994, the couple has an age difference of around two years.
