Everyone fell in love with the cute Pekingese dog Wasabi at this year’s Westminster Dog Show 2021. The little bundle of joy took home the title in the toy group as well as best in show, earning a whole load of new fans in the process. Many people are wondering if Wasabi has their own Instagram page. We tell you everything we know about this little star.

What is a Pekingese and where does it come from?

Pekingese is a breed of dog that is originally from China. It is thought to be one of the oldest dog breeds, having been established in China for over 2,000 years.

This adorably fluffy companion was favoured by Chinese royalty in the Chinese imperial court and they were used as lap dogs, and as furry friends.

The breed was named Pekingese in reference to the Chinese city of Peking, which is now Beijing.

These dogs are highly intelligent, so often training them is challenging. However, they are also dogs that are capable of incredible affection.

Their normal size ranges from 6-9in in height and 7-14 pounds in weight.

Does Wasabi the Pekingese have Instagram?

At the present moment Wasabi doesn’t have their own Instagram account so unfortunately you can’t get daily updates of your canine obsession.

However, his win was announced across Instagram by the Westminster Kennel Club.
