Who is Leslie Perez?

Per his own website, Perez grew up in Pittsburg, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area.

His passion for music grew from the point when he first heard the likes of Michael Erickson (who died in 2014) and Cameron Paul (who died in 2018) mixing live on the radio.

“Mixing was always a thing for me”, Perez later said. “I would wake up early in the morning to practice and when I would get home from school I would keep mixing.”

“There was a time that my mom would take my needles with her to work so that I would take a break from mixing. What she didn’t know, was that I had a back up pair.”

Several of Perez’ mixes are available to listen to via Mixcloud, while some are also available on YouTube.
